Rubbing rubsThe gel is the main ingredient in gel products. The gel is used to treat pain and inflammation of the joints and muscles, tendons and ligaments, and muscles. Pain can sometimes be caused by tight, muscle-related conditions. Rubbing makes the areas where the pain occurs more receptive and so allows the muscles to heal faster.
Before using the gels, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to any medicines, or you have any other allergies. In some cases, your doctor may need to change the doses of the drugs you are taking from your regular dosing range.
For ointments, the recommended dose of voltaren cream is 2.5 grams twice a day, for 7 days. See your doctor or pharmacist for more information. You should not use the 2.5g tube every day. For a full list of warnings, use the patient information leaflet in the leaflet or the patient information leaflet provided with the tube leaflet. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including any that you stock in your medicine cart.
To reduce the chance that you might miss a dose, give each person a different dosing range. Do not use a double dose to make up for a missed dose. Ask your doctor if you need more dosing than the previous dose.
If you need to give a dose twice a day, use a smaller dose at first. You may need to give a second dose twice a day to make up for a missed dose. However, this may be less likely to be effective if you are given a double dose at the same time.
